Documents & Fees
Recording document fees as of January 1, 2025. This includes a 5.00 preservation fee per document.
The recording fee for the first two pages is be $39.00. Each additional page at $8.00. Partial recording fees collected are required to be submitted to the state to the credit of the Ohio Housing Trust Fund. (Ohio Revised Code 317.32 & 317.36).

A $4.00 marginal notation fee must be submitted for the following document types: Mortgage Release, Mortgage Assignment and Mortgage Modification.
A fee of $20.00 will be charged for documents that do not conform to Ohio Standardization Guidelines. Please review Document Standardization Guidelines for more information.

- How do I obtain a copy of my deed, mortgage, lien or other recorded document?
- You can search for your document through the Records Request and Online Searching link on this page.
- Are Miami County Recorders' Office records available online?
- Yes, real estate records recorded from 1998 (to present) are available on line, use the Records Request and Online Searching link on this page.
- Why is my document considered "non-conforming"?
- Ohio Standardization Guidelines require all documents to have the following:
- Font size of at least 10 point;
- Black or blue ink only and no highlighting;
- 3 inch margins on the top of the first page, 1.5 inch margins at the top of each additional page and 1 inch margins on the sides and bottom of each page.
- Is a self-addressed, stamped envelope required with all documents submitted for recording?
Yes, along with each document (or batch of documents) submitted for recording, please enclose a self-addressed, stamped envelope so that the documents may be returned to the appropriate party after they are processed.
