The Miami County Bar Association no longer provides testing for the notary application or renewal process. The law librarian is a notary public and can notarize documents for the public. Call the library for pricing (max of $5.00 charge).

As of september 2019, the process to renew notary public commissions has changed: a background check is now required. If your ohio notary public commission has expired or expires while waiting on the background check, the notary modernization act now requires that you register as a completely new applicant. You must follow the new notary application process. You are not eligible to renew a notary public commission as the "Old" grace period has been eliminated.
