Unfortunately, our March 12th Low-Cost Cat Clinic has been canceled due to our veterinarian being sick.

Due to this unexpected change, the April appointments will now be moved to May. This means we will not be accepting new sign-ups for April, and new registrations will be delayed by approximately two months while we accommodate the rescheduled appointments.

We know many people rely on these clinics, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this may cause. We appreciate your patience and understanding while we ensure all previously scheduled cats receive their appointments.

We will share an update as soon as new clinic dates and sign-ups reopen.

Spay / Neuter Cat Clinic

The Miami County Animal Shelter, in partnership with NOMAD, offers a monthly low-cost spay & neuter clinic for cats. The schedule for these clinics fills up quickly so it's important to note the following:

  • Space is limited, with only 15 appointments available for females and 15 for males at each clinic.
  • Families who have completed the adoption process through Miami County Animal Shelter are given priority scheduling for the clinic.
  • Any appointments still available will open to Miami County Residents the day after the current month’s clinic. For example, if January’s clinic is on the 3rd, registration for February’s clinic would open on January 4th
  • Registration cannot be guaranteed for residents who have not recently adopted a cat/kitten from our shelter.

If you are interested in registering your cat for the clinic:

  • Applications can be printed and completed at home or picked up at the Shelter
  • Return the application and payment to the Shelter during regular business hours

Fees

  • Administration Fee $10
  • Female Cats $65 (additional $10 fee if pregnant)
  • Male Cats $35
  • Rabies (1 year) $15 (waived only with proof of rabies vaccine)

Additional services are also available:

  • FVRCP-C (four-way) - $15
  • Tapeworm - $10
  • Flea, Earmite, Wormer, Heartworm (Revolution) $20
  • Nail Trim $5
  • Ear Tip (Feral Cats Only) $10

Thank you for supporting Miami County Animal Shelter's
partnership with NOMAD!

FAQs

  • Does my dog have to wear his/her license tag?
First of all, it is the law. Also, wearing the license tag is the quickest way for your dog to be returned to you if he/she becomes lost.
  • Do you accept credit/debit cards as payment?
Yes, the Miami County Animal Shelter accepts credit/debit cards (there is a 2.7% processing fee for credit/debit cards), cash, and checks with photo identification. No starter checks, please.
  • How soon are dogs available for adoption after they arrive at the animal shelter?
Dogs wearing current license tags must be held for 14 days. Dogs without license tags must be held 3 business days. After that time period the dog may be available for adoption and they are kept for as long as it takes and we have room.
